My name is Ricky Taylor most know me as ric78. I live in Lancaster, SC have my whole life except four years I spent in the Air Force. I am married to a wonderful lady named Shannon and have a boy and a girl, Hank and Ashley.
I was born into a racing family three generations of it. From an early age I knew I was gonna race and finally had the chance in 1988 at the age of 16. We were not rich had an old junker me and my grandpa put together and racing we went. Those first two years were rough I tore up alot of junk. I wasn’t fast enough to outrun them and too stubborn to get out of the way so they usually moved me:(. I finally got better some people started giving us a little money and we finally won some.
Well my grandpa has since passed on I really lost the desire to race anymore because he was my racing bud and best friend. That and the time and money it takes I would rather spend with my wife and kids. I’ve done all my money would allow I won races and been a points champ. I’ll probably get the bug again when my boy is ready to race but until then I’ll just race occasionally.
Got hooked on this PC racing with Bill Elliot Racing, then N1 to now N4. Didn’t start racing online until last year with n3. This racing is so compareable to racing a real race car it’s scary. It makes my heart pound makes, makes me happy and mad at times.
All in all the best thing that ever happened was the night I found you all online. Everyone here makes this racing fun and I consider all of you my friends. Very proud to be a member of the Christian Racing team hope to see you all soon on the track.
