When I was born, it was straight into cars. My Father had Corvette’s that he would restore when I was a kid. I would watch and help with whatever I could help with at a young age. My uncle was into drag racing. He race fuel as well as alcohol dragsters. So I have been to my fare share of drag races too. Back in ’88, I bought a ’67 Camaro RS. Tore it down 4 days after I bought it and then didn’t have time to work on it. I started racing remote control cars. I was sponsored by several different manufactures and have been everywhere from California to Florida racing those things. Was no money in the racing, just plain good fun (and way too much money). I had to quit racing the remote control cars because I got hired on at Toyota making the Avalon’s, Camry’s and Sienna mini vans. I work in the V6 area testing the engine’s before they go into the cars.
I got hooked on Nascar 4 with the sim racing. The best racing by far is with the Christian Racing group. I great bunch of guys and girls. Finally in the spring of 2000, I finally started working on my camaro again. With very special thanks to Doug Johnson and his Father Frank, I completed it in May of 2001. It is my pride and joy. I have two cats too, but the car is my baby. Doug’s Father teaches a Bible study in his garage every Thursday night. A thing just for the guys.
