UK Jake (Jake Jacob) born October 1963 in Oxfordshire, England. Jake got his first taste of racing and engines at an early age and was riding his first motorbike at the age of five, encouraged by his father, an ex stockcar driver and discouraged by his mother, fearing for his life. A few years later and Jake was taken to the the Isle of Wight music festival to see the greats of the day such as Jimi Hendrix, Sly & the Family Stone, The Who, John Sebastian & Spirit. This had a very profound and lasting effect on him. Every penny and pound that he could save was going to buy him a drum kit. His father thought that they would just gather dust in the corner and his mother thought it was atleast a lot safer than racing bikes and cars. Well a few more years went by while Jake listened to every record he could find, over and over and over again he would play the them, learning how they fitted together untill aged 11 years when he got that first drum kit. At 14 he got his first record deal in a 3 piece rock band called ‘Sinner’ which took him pretty much out of school and onto the road. A week before his 17th birthday Jake landed the job as a drum teacher in a private school earning almost as much in a day as his father could earn in a week. Now teaching himself to play guitar & piano Jake got his first flat and bought his first new bike & his first computer. For a few years the bikes took over as Jake rode with the National Chopper Club on his favourite bike to date a BSA 650 engine in a hardtail frame, 18inch over springers with a 45degre rake, huge ape hanger bars, high backed stepped seat, the full Easy Rider trip. Returning his focus to music Jake started working in recording studio’s learning how to record & produce while forming a new band called ‘Soul Assassins’ which he took out on the road working with musicians from bands such as Pink Floyd, Womack & Womck, Joe Cocker Band & Average White Band. At the end of the 80’s Jake setup a side project writing music with the aid of computers then a few years later formed a Dub/Dance outfit called ‘Sub:trance’. After doing more hell raising than the Rolling Stones & the Who put together the band hung themselves out to dry while Jake & his girlfriend ‘Charlie’ Opened an Underground Trance & Techno club called ‘Skankadelic’. At this point ‘Stingo Rah’ was born, the name a referance to Jake’s roots, those early days of the 60’s & 70’s and real drummers & real bands but now creating a completly new sound for a new generation, the E generation. In 1999 Jake was playing a Nascar game on the playstation when memories of seeing such racing over the years came flooding back. In early 2001 he found a demo of ‘Nascar 3’ and discovered that a new sim called ‘Nascar 4’ and Nascar itself was on it’s way to the UK with a new banked track being built called ‘Rockingham’ and a new racing series called ‘Ascar’. Jake was hooked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He wrote the official Theme tune for Ascar and formed Rah Racing.
