Hi my name is Eric Edem (e3racer). I was born at Shaw AFB, South Carolina, and was raised in a military family. My dad retired two years ago as a Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF. So, I moved around a lot growing up; I’ve lived in South Carolina, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio, Alabama, Florida, and Hawaii.
I am now 28 years old, and live in Beavercreek, Ohio. I graduated from Cedarville University in 1999, and have been working as the Office Manager at Washington Heights Baptist Church in Dayton, OH since February 2002. I’ve also been one of the Junior High Youth leaders since 1999 at Washington Heights.
In college, a good friend got me into NASCAR racing, and I’ve been a fan since. My favorite driver is Jeff Gordon as you can see from my picture. I’ve gotten my whole family into NASCAR, and I’ve gone to quite a few races in the past 4 years.
I came to Christian Racing during the summer of 2002. I finally got a computer that could run Nascar Racing 2002, and I had just gotten DSL service, so I decided to try racing online. I found Christian Racing in the servers list, and checked out the website. I signed up, and for the first month or so I just had my keyboard to race with before I decided to make the investment of a wheel and pedals. It was one of the best investments I’ve ever made.
Christian Racing has been so much fun and great fellowship with a bunch of guys that I probably would have never met if it wasn’t for online racing. I race currently mostly on Monday and Tuesday Nights (BSC & Christian Cup). I’m still looking to get my first Cup win, and hopefully it will be this next season. I’ve been to both the LAN events, and those have been great to meet everyone that I’ve raced with and be able to put a face with the voice that you hear online. I had a great time at the race in Martinsville in October meeting up with some other guys here at Christian Racing (Brent, Eddie, and Jimmy; also Tracey and Stuart), and it was even better when Jeff Gordon won the race.
