My name is John Bailey AKA j_bailey. The picture shows my wife (Sheri) on the right, our daughter (Samantha) and yours truly. Sheri and I grew up in a very rural area of western Pennsylvania near Punxsutawney (Groundhog Day). Her mother and my older sister introduced us and I wonder if her mother wishes she could relive that day.
In 1985 we moved to Manassas Virginia to find work. We have lived here ever since. If you are ever in the DC area, please let me know so that we can have coffee together. I have met several of the drivers in Christian racing and enjoyed every one of the meetings.
I received Christ as my savior at age nine. My salvation story is pretty straight forward as I was raised in a Christian family and went to worship services since before I was born. The great thing about this is how God has worked in my life since then. I encourage any parents in Christian racing to show and live your salvation for your children. They will love you for that more than any material gift you could give them.
In 2002 I found Christian racing and it was the beginning of building friendships with a great bunch of guys. I have prayed for you and been prayed for by this organization. Uplifting conversations and competition happens every time I race with you. In 2004 I attended the LAN event and got to spend a weekend with several of you. Expect to see me at the next event.
Finally I want to say thank you to Brent and all of the directors in Christian racing. This is a world-class racing league, managed by world-class men.
