Bruce and Cathy Hawkins
Hi, my name is Bruce Hawkins, I have been hanging around CR since October 2004! I am 46 years old and live in Joliet Illinois. I have been blessed with a wonderful wife Cathy, Cathy and I are both on our 2nd marriage, between us we have 2 children, Trish 26 and Tom 16. Cathy and I where married in November of 1997. We attend St. John Lutheran Church in Joliet IL.
I grew up in a small town about 20 miles south of Chicago. After graduating High School I attended the local Junior college and took several programming classes while working full time for the local school district in the maintenance department. I joined the local fire department as a volunteer and put in 15 years there during which I earned my Fire Fighter III Certification along with my EMT, First Responder(Haz Mat) and Driver Pump Operator certifications. I am now a computer programmer working for Freedom Graphic Systems(fgs.com). I have been with Freedom since 1989 and have worked my way through the programming department and I am now Senior Programmer(in other words OLD)! Unfortunately work is the one thing that keeps me away from online racing. I tend to have to work long hours and miss a lot of races due to that.
Beside online racing I enjoy golfing, music, Nascar, football and basketball (watching, too old to play). I had no idea when I joined CR what I had ahead of me! I have made so many friends here I am truly amazed!!! This is by far, in my opinion the best racing league around, not to mention my favorite part, Team Speak and the fellowship during the races!
Each week I really look forward to get on the TS and talking to all of you and listening in to the needling that sometimes goes on. I have been really blessed to have found this place and to have been welcomed in by all of you.
