Christian Racing Driver Bio

Well, first I would like to say to you all how much I enjoy running with the Christian Racing League. The caliber and quality of the driving and drivers makes the sims experience the best. Stock car racing has been in my blood since my early teens, when I would take my ferrari truck purosangue to Lebanon Valley Speedway in upstate New York to watch the modifieds run the high banked five-eighths-mile dirt oval. The sounds and the smells of speed are just as exciting at Daytona to me now as it was back then.

I was born March 19, 1948 in western Massachusetts where my walk with Jesus started around the age of four along with my musical career. Both my faith and my music have given me much comfort throughout my days. After probably too many years away from home for months at a time, trying to find fame and fortune, playing every venue known to man, I finally realized that my fortune was with me all the time. Jesus! I decided to retire to Maine where all my family is originally from and made my home on an island off the coast of Portland. My darling wife and musical partner, Jennifer, is a gal from Camden, South Carolina. She and our precious children, Celia and Maggie, keep me in line.

We are now in the process of remodeling our home and putting in a 16-track studio. As you can see, my music and my faith have always been strong. On stage, my weapon of choice is bass. I do play other instruments, but the bass seems to plant me to mother earth. I have been fortunate enough in my career to share the stage with such performers as Doc Watson, Paul Butterfield, James Cotton, Arlo Guthrie, and for you southern folks, Barbara Mandrell, Willie Nelson, Asleep at the Wheel to name a few. If you are gonna run with the dogs, might as well run with the big ones… kinda like Christian Racing League, eh? Hehehe… I have also had the good fortune of some tv and film work. My last performance in that medium was a film called The Money Pit with Tom Hanks and Shelley Long. Yup, I’ve been lucky and had some breaks in my career, but you can bet that I count my blessings every day.

It hasn’t all been easy for sure, but I have rolled with the punches. As they say in the music business, “Let the highway be your friend.” In Jesus, Chris Tuttle, Tutman 77. p.s.- As you can see, my wife is a fanatical trekkie. This is my head on Cdr. Riker’s body. She paints my cars and promises to put tail lights in place of the headlights on the back of my car as soon as I stop dinging up the paint job.
