2018 Year in Review

As 2018 comes to a close and we move into 2019, it’s time to look back on what happened and look forward to new things coming.

At Christian Racing, if my math is correct, we ran 111 points races during the NASCAR season.  This does not include winter series or special events.

In the Truck Series we crowned champions – Jason Lance, Rick Fallis won twice.
The Jimmy Young xfinity series saw Jason Lance and Ray Moss win championships
And the Gary Ridgeway Cup series championship was won by Chad Carisch.

Congratulations to each.

We welcomed a lot of new members this year, welcome and we are glad you are here.

We also saw a few first-time race winners this season.  Congratulations.

In iRacing in 2018 we got a lot of changes and improvements and a few disappoints as well.  Here are a few things that have been introduced.

  • Heat Racing
  • Rally Cross
  • Dirt Tracks & Cars – Knoxville Raceway, The Dirt Track at Charlotte, Limaland, Kokomo, Dirt Midget
  • Oval Tracks & Cars – Pocono, Michigan, Charlotte Roval, Chevy Camaro ZL1
  • Pit Crew Animations
  • Road Cars & Tracks – Audi R18, Dallara IR18, Porsche 919 Hybrid, Porsche 911 RSR, Dallara F3, Formula Renault 3.5, Detroit Belle Isle, Tsukuba Circuit
  • New crowd system

Did I forget anything?  Oh yeah something called Day to Night transitions after many years or waiting.  We also got the new BetaUI which that’s all I will say about that.  Hopefully in 2019 we will finally get the new tire model and many more improvements.

Also a meeting was held to come up with ideas to improve Christian Racing.  Hopefully more news comes from that soon.

Good luck to everyone in their endeavors in the future.

Merry Christmas everyone, be safe, and I hope you have a Happy New Year.
